Nepal Accommodation - Room with a view

Nepal accommodation

During your trip with us you'll stay in accommodation in Nepal that reflects the character of your surroundings. You'll experience a variety of styles and standards of accommodation in Nepal, for example you might spend a night in a safari lodge, in a jungle tower, or in with a Nepalese family. During our treks, the teahouse or homestay accommodation is basic, but the experience and the views are utterly amazing.

We use a hand-picked selection of authentic hotels with lots of local character, and therefore steer clear of international chains. We personally ensure that each property has the right combination of features such as cleanliness, location, friendly staff and good service. We're confident that you'll enjoy our accommodation in Nepal just as much as our previous customers.

We use a pool of accommodation in Nepal in each destination, which means that if one hotel is full, we are able to offer another of equal standard. Once your booking is confirmed, we'll send you a comprehensive list of the hotels you'll be staying in.

Accommodation in Nepal Comfort Levels

Nepal Travel Plan uses a category of 1 to 4 to rate our accommodation in Nepal. Our standard is category 2/3, and in general the comfortable and friendly accommodation we mention in the website falls into this category. It should also be mentioned that our category ratings are not official star ratings.

Comfort Level 1 - Basic overnight accommodation in Nepal
Basic accommodation in Nepal such as a trekking lodge with limited facilities. This is the type of accommodation you can expect on a multi-day trek in the mountains. The jungle tower accommodation in the tour Into the Jungle with the Tharu falls into this category. You'll be able to experience the traditional Nepal and you'll be staying in a small, basic room with shared facilities.

Comfort Level 2 - Simple accommodation in Nepal
Again this is simple, but nonetheless reasonably comfortable accommodation in Nepal. You can expect a private room with simple bathroom facilities. The accommodation in Trekking Across the Edge of the Valley falls into this comfort level.

Nepal Accommodation - Sapana Village Lodge in Chitwan

Comfort Level 3 - Comfortable accommodation in Nepal
Clean, charming and well-kept accommodation, full of character and in good locations. Most of the accommodation in Nepal used by Nepal Travel Plan falls into this category. They vary from cosy small hotels, to authentic traditional guest houses. During our Chitwan Elephants and Rhinos module you'll stay in this comfort level.

Comfort Level 4 - Special accommodation in Nepal
For some of our tours we have found some truly exceptional accommodation in Nepal. They're a touch more expensive than our standard, but worth every penny. An example is the Royal Kathmandu option in the Easy Going Kathmandu package.

Previous Customer Feedback

The trek hotel in Pokara was the best hotel as far as room quality and comfort. The lodge in Chitwan was also excellent and felt special staying there. D Jenkins

Kathmandu hotel was so majestic - the lodge in Chitwan was beautiful too and even the trekking lodge at Ghorepani with its heated dining room deserves a mention. V Hasaballa

The Chitwan lodge on our last day was beautiful, clean and well lit with a fan that worked and a beautiful view of the gardens with a balcony area to sit out on. The hotel in Nagarkot on day 2 of our trek provided the most spectacular view of the entire trip. L Bertolla
