Day 1: Kathmandu or Pokhara - Charaundi

Nepal river rafting - 3 hours

On Day One of your Nepal river rafting tour, you'll travel from Kathmandu, or Pokhara, to Charaundi. At around 11:30 you'll arrive in Charaundi and you can get a bite to eat at one of the local restaurants. You'll be able to change into suitable river rafting clothes here. All you'll need is a pair of shorts, a t-shirt and some sunscreen. The rest of your belongings can be left behind in the car and our driver will take them to the final destination of the Nepal river rafting excursion.

After that, it's time for a brief instruction on Nepal river rafting and you'll hoist yourself into your lifejacket and protective head gear. Once you're all set to go, you'll climb into the rubber raft and you'll paddle down the river. It will take a few serious rapids before you get into the swing of things and learn how to paddle effectively as a team. Don't expect to keep dry during this Nepal river rafting adventure. The Trisuli has several exciting class 3 rapids. However, there are also calm stretches where you'll simply glide through the water enjoying the scenery of remote river valleys and rocky canyons.
Nepal river rafting - Getting started
Nepal river rafting - A bite to eat during rafting
Spending time on the river is sure to give you quite an appetite so, after about 2 hours, you'll head for a sandy beach for a rest stop on your Nepal river rafting trip. The rafts will be pulled up onto the shore and the crew will start preparing lunch. Now that you're back on dry land, you'll have time to enjoy your surroundings more fully. After lunch you'll hop back into the raft and you'll make your way to the next rapids... Both sides of the Trisuli River are overgrown with lush vegetation and, in some areas, the riverbanks are connected by a hanging bridge.

After completing your Nepal river rafting adventure you can dry off and climb into the car that's waiting for you, tired yet satisfied. From here you can travel on to meet elephants and rhinos at our Chitwan Nepal module. Alternatively, after this Nepal river rafting excursion you could also travel to Pokhara for one of our Nepal short treks.
