During this Nepal tour package, you'll cross the spectacular Kathmandu valley on foot. It’s a fairly light trek offering breathtaking views across the mighty Himalayas. You'll pass through tiny local villages where time has almost stood still and traditional ways of life continue to exist. You’ll get a good impression of Nepali history, culture and religion as you make your way through stunning valleys and between towering peaks. On Day 2, you'll reach the high point (literally!) of your journey. From here, you'll have a sweeping panoramic view across the Kathmandu valley and, of course, the majestic Himalayas. Throughout the trek, you'll stay in simple but comfortable hotels, each boasting incredible views of the surrounding landscape.

You could make an attempt at the summit to experience the mighty Mount Everest on foot, but there is an easier way... a spectacular flight around the summit of Everest and the magnificent surrounding mountains. You may not experience quite the same sense of achievement as Hilary or Tensing, but it is quite simply awe-inspiring to see this incredible mountain at close range. This is one of our favourite Nepal tour packages. During this unforgettable trek, you'll not only be staying in mountain lodges but also in the homes of the local Tamang and Sherpa people. Here, you'll get a firsthand experience of Himalayan hospitality, and you'll feel like part of the family in no time. Crouched between bubbling copper pans you'll listen to tales of rural life and the tribulations of the Tibetans who settled in this area decades ago. You'll cross rice terraces, deep green valleys, and oak forests, all set against a distant horizon of mountain peaks. Royal Chitwan National Park is situated in the sub-tropical lowlands of Nepal, known as the Terai. This is a vast area of emerald rice paddies and typical rural villages. This is a fantastic module to select from our Nepal tour packages if you like jungle, but rafting doesn't float your boat. It promises to give you a great wildlife experience. The itinerary is the same as the Rafts and Rhinos module, but without the two-day rafting trip. Perched on the back of a majestic elephant, you'll trek through the jungle to catch a glimpse of the one-horned rhino. If you're lucky, you'll also spot leopards and elephants, so keep your eyes peeled and your camera close at hand.

Select this quirky and interesting Nepal tour package and you'll get to know the native inhabitants of the jungle, the Tharu. The local Tharu will take you on a trek into the thick jungle and let you in on all the secrets of Mother Nature. Together, you'll wash elephants, prepare local dishes and dance to drums into the small hours of the morning. When you're all danced out, you can collapse in your bed, high above the ground in a simple Tharu tree hut on the edge of the village.

If you're thinking of experiencing a proper trek but don't really fancy all that strenuous exercise, pick this from our mix of Nepal tour packages. It offers a perfect challenge for those who want to trek from Pokhara but are short on time. You will hike to altitudes ranging from 1500m - 3000m, visiting small mountain villages on the way. Passing green meadows and majestic peaks the trek will lead to the absolute high point: sunrise at Poon Hill... You will be staying in simple but comfortable lodges in villages along the route. The village of Jomsom lies in the middle of the famous Annapurna Circuit. Surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks, the air is thin here and the light falls softly on the narrow streets filled with mules, yaks and excited children. A spectacular flight will take you into the heart of the Himalayas, to the starting point of your 4-day trek. Pick this from our Nepal tour packages if you are an active traveller looking for a proper trekking experience. The trek is almost the same as Sunrise at Poon Hill, but a day longer. In five days you will hike through green meadows from one village to the next, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. There are two highlights on this trek: sunrise at Poon Hill and the breathtaking view of the 6000m giant Dhampus. You will be staying in simple lodges with running water in villages along the route. There is a great laid-back atmosphere among the trekkers and villagers here.

If you have more time the Annapurna Circuit is the quintessential longer Nepal trek. If you want to immerse yourself in the culture and nature of the spectacular Annapurna Range, then pick this trek from our selection of modules. You'll need to be in good shape for this trek, considering you'll be walking approximately 7 hours a day for over 2 weeks. The biggest challenge is the ascent to the summit of the Thorung La Pass at 5416m altitude. Looking out across snow-capped mountains soaring above 6000m is simply awe-inspiring... You will complete the Annapurna Circuit together with an English-speaking guide and local porters. En route you'll be staying in simple lodges with running water, but don't always expect a hot shower...
